There are HUGE playgrounds for the kids, as well as a splash-pad to cool off in the summer heat, a Ferris Wheel and other carnival rides for additional summer fun. Take the little ones to the pond and feed the ducks bits of that old loaf of bread that was left sitting too long in the pantry.

Want a quieter date? There are many peaceful and less occupied areas all around the park including a 1.5 mile path to take a nice stroll, an Aviary for bird lovers, and charcoal grills if you want to barbecue.

For those of us who hate to meal prep, check out the inexpensive Park Cafe.

Can't get out on a weekday? Liberty Park's Farmers Market is open Every Friday from 4PM - Dusk  (June 7th - October 4th, 2019)

*Pro-tip: to make the date a bit more relaxing, try cloud watching with your special someone or as a relaxing, fun, and imaginative activity with your kids!
